‘She wouldn’t talk to me because she had seen me around’: exploring issues around safety, stigma and rapport in youth peer research on sexual violence

The presentation will share learning from youth participatory action research with young survivors of sexual violence in Albania. The Safer Young Lives Research Centre, University of Bedfordshire and Different & Equal (Albania), will discuss specific ethical and practical challenges of using peer research approaches in sexual violence research and reflect on how these can be mitigated to promote young survivor’s involvement in knowledge production.
