Let teachers SHINE report

The Young Foundation partnered with education charity SHINE, to support the delivery of their annual Let Teachers SHINE programme. SHINE provides funding to some of the brightest minds in teaching in England, helping them to develop and deliver new approaches to teaching that raise educational attainment for children from low-income homes.

Partnership is at the heart of everything we do. We work with organisations across diverse sectors, supporting them to better understand, involve and innovate with communities – and helping them use those insights to drive change. We undertake research, we design and deliver interventions, and we deliver bespoke training, supporting innovators to take radical action on the issues they care about.

Helen leads our multi-disciplinary team of researchers and innovators to support stronger communities across the UK. Previous roles were at Nesta, in the private sector, and in government. She was awarded an OBE for services to development of sustainable communities in the 2023 New Year Honours List.
