Working Rite is a mentoring programme that supports teenagers to achieve maturity and readiness for work. It matches youngsters with an older self-employed tradesman for a 6 month placement in a real world environment, learning the job through a one-to-one relationship.

Working Rite taps into a demonstrable demand – in this case a desperate need for apprenticeships which is not being adequately met by the large registered training providers currently targeting the one million young people in Britain not in education, training or employment (NEET).

Working Rite is an independent venture supported by the Young Foundation and received investment from our Learning Launchpad fund.
