Alice Neeson

Programme Manager, Northern Ireland Team: Places and Communities

Alice is part of the Amplify NI team, based in Belfast. She’s interested in connecting in-depth research with action to support the people working for positive social change in Belfast.

Prior to joining the Young Foundation, Alice worked in community engagement for a national human rights organisation. She also spent several years working in the technology sector, and is particularly interested in technology for social good and communications for development.

Alice is currently completing a PhD at Queen’s University Belfast, which explores the role of participatory communication in conflict transformation and social justice movements. She spent a year as a visiting international researcher at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, where she carried out ethnographic fieldwork and worked with NGOs engaged in grassroots reconciliation work.
