Young people are living, learning and negotiating their lives in an increasingly complex and challenging world. This calls for empowered, resilient young people, who play an active role in navigating their own paths.
We are passionate about reducing the inequality they face and work alongside governments, schools, universities, funders, charities, social enterprises and businesses to do so.
The Young Academy is the Young Foundation’s flagship programme tackling inequalities in education and for young people from early years through to employment.
The Young Academy helps to develop social enterprises that have potential to benefit disadvantaged young people in England, by providing an intensive programme of business support and access to financial investment.
Our work this year:
- The Young Academy: supporting our fifth cohort of social ventures tackling education inequalities.
- Share to Know: exploring models for collaborative learning for young people.
- Realising Ambition: a partnership supporting crime diversion innovations for young people.
