Youth & Education

Young people are living, learning and negotiating their lives in an increasingly complex and challenging world. This calls for empowered, resilient young people, who play an active role in navigating their own paths.

We are passionate about reducing the challenges they face and work alongside governments, schools, universities, funders, charities, social enterprises and businesses to do so.

The Young Academy is our flagship programme tackling inequalities in education and for young people from early years through to employment. The Young Academy helps to develop social enterprises that have the potential to benefit disadvantaged young people in England, by providing an intensive programme of business support and access to financial investment.

Our work this year:

  • The Young Academy: supporting our sixth cohort of social ventures tackling education inequalities.
  • Let Teachers SHINE Accelerator: supporting teachers to develop and scale their ideas
  • Amplify Youth: supporting young people to create and drive their own innovations that will make a real difference in tackling inequality in their local communities
