The Young Foundation’s health and wellbeing portfolio digs deep into what matters in health by undertaking detailed research; engaging with communities to understand the issues they are tackling and working with them to develop new ideas that create and sustain health in their communities.
Our health programmes this year include:
- Communities Driving Change in Tower Hamlets: building local movements for better health through community engagement and action
- The development of a Community Well-being Index in partnership with the Co-op, assessing the well-being of 28,000 communities across the UK
- Tackling Social Isolation and Loneliness: social networks and connections that exist in communities in Essex to reduce isolation and loneliness.
