Khadouj has struggled with anxiety and depression her whole life. Over the years, she got steadily worse and thought about ending her life. She refrained because she did not want to let her children down. One day, following what she describes as “a year of crying”, her doctor said she was no longer fit for work and put her on incapacity benefits. Then, the opportunity to join B-MINCOME presented itself. The financial support of the project has enabled her to cover her rent, pay for extra tuition for her son, and buy things for her children. She is thankful to B-MINCOME; “I don’t feel like before, I feel like somebody who is…strong”.
