Become part of the 4th Industrial Revolution
OpenMaker is seeking strong and innovative applications from Maker-Manufacturer teams who aim to have a social impact on their surrounding communities. The 20 best proposals will receive a commission of €20,000 to develop their project as part of our Pilot Support Scheme (PSS).
Makers-Manufacturers teams are invited to submit proposals for prototype innovations (products, production processes, supply or value chains, distribution or ownership) with a social impact on their surrounding communities.
Submissions to the PSS are open September 18 – October 18, 2017.
What can you get?
- €20,000 for each of the 20 selected teams (5 teams for each hub)
- 9 months support and mentoring for prototyping your idea.
In case you don’t feel ready to apply but you still want to be part of the community of innovators, you can engage online through the OPENMAKER EXPLORER, a dedicated digital platform to support communication and enable partnership between Makers, Manufacturers, researchers and policymakers. Depending on your interests, it also provides you with the most tailored and cutting-edge news, resources and materials.
A Q&A session on the PSS will be published in early September.
The OpenMaker initiative aims to create a transformational and collaborative ecosystem that fosters collective innovations within the European manufacturing sector and drives it towards more sustainable business models, production processes, products, and governance systems by bringing together manufacturers and makers. The project has received funding from the European Union Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No. 687941.
