Fany arrived in Barcelona 11 years ago, just as Spain was entering economic crisis. She had no documents, and a young daughter to look after. She ended up working 15 hours a day in childcare, leaving her daughter alone “to care for other children”. This was a source of great pain for Fany, but she “had to work, because if I didn´t, my daughter and I wouldn´t eat”. As her health deteriorated, she called on God to show her a way out. It was at this point she was invited to join B-MINCOME. Being part of the project, she says, has enabled her to stabilise herself both emotional and economically. She is now able to spend time and share experiences with her daughter; something which brings them both great happiness.
