Following our collaboration with Llamau – a large charity supporting socially excluded people – on our Wales Accelerator programme, we are supporting their annual celebration event by holding a series of debates from 12.00pm to 2.00pm at the Pierhead Building, Cardiff Bay, and on a bus in front of the Senedd!
The full event, which will be launched by Miss Alex Jones, presenter of the BBC’s The One Show, will feature speeches and presentations from The Young Foundation’s CEO, Simon Willis, Frances Beecher, CEO of Llamau, and performances from a number of Llamau’s beneficiaries.
This year’s event is designed to be much more than just a celebration of their great work: We invite you all to help us unlock the potential that genuine collaboration can achieve. We know the future is going to present some tough challenges as funding tightens and demand for services increases. Together we can innovate, and build a movement that ensures we stand together to protect, demand and deliver the high quality services needed in Wales. We’ll be asking the citizens of Wales to pledge to tackle various inequalities in Wales, to stand up against issues such as homelessness and domestic abuse, and many more.
The Young Foundation would particularly like to invite professionals from the following under-represented sectors to attend the debates being held from 12.00pm to 2.00pm: health, education, funders, investors, government, councils, gender, private sector.
The event is free to attend and lunch is provided.
