On the 29th March 2019, Britain will leave the European Union following the Brexit vote.

To coincide with this historic date, please join us on the 27th March 2019, two day’s before Britain’s historic departure, as we talk with the author, Joe Hayman and explore themes from his latest book ‘British Journey’.

‘British Journey’ which follows Joe’s acclaimed book British Voices, details his experience travelling across the UK and speaking with members of the public in the wake of the Brexit Vote. What he discovered was an insecure country, where divisions of class, culture and faith are not too far from the surface of everyday life. In this talk with The Young Foundation, we will explore what he found, what’s happened since and routes to building a stronger sense of community, shared identity and common values in the UK.
