Our passion for tackling inequalities in the education system is led through our flagship programme, The Young Academy. This unique accelerator programme supports social ventures that work to improve educational outcomes for disadvantaged young people in England. We enable and support these ambitious ventures to develop their ideas, business models and work to increase their reach and social impact.
On 29 January 2019, we will host our ‘Demo Day’ at the Bank of America Merrill Lynch to showcase the work of our latest cohort of programme participants. This is an opportunity for the founders of each social venture to pitch to a room full of investors and grant-makers who share their commitment to tackling the most pressing issues in youth education through social innovation.
If you are a funder, social investor, grant-maker, education sector leader and/or innovation specialist, then please Register Your Interest via firstname.lastname@example.org to join us. This is an invitation-only event.
Since launching the programme in 2014, we’ve supported over 60 ventures like Museum in a Box, ImpactEd, Panjango and Think for the Future, investing over £1m in some of the most promising. For more information please visit our website: www.theyoungacademy.org or download our impact report here.
The Young Academy Accelerator is delivered with support from the Bank of America Merrill Lynch. The Young Academy Fund is supported by UBS. We are pleased to count the following organisations amongst our programme delivery partners: Whole Education, New Philanthropy Capital, Hogan Lovells and Wolff Olins.
