The Young Academy supports early-stage social ventures working in the field of education to realise their potential to change the status quo.  On April 25th we are hosting our first EdVenture Day.

This all-day event will bring entrepreneurs, educators, administrators, and students together to generate ideas for addressing some of the biggest challenges in education today. You’ll hear exciting talks from experts in the field, test out new ideas in practical peer learning sessions, and get the chance to make new connections.

 Guest Speakers include:

Sir Alasdair Macdonald, former Head Teacher at Morpeth School: “The need for innovation in education”

Paul Adnitt, Curriculum Manager for the National Citizen’s Service: “Building resilience through education”

Stephen Carrick-Davies, of Munch, Poke, Ping: “Co-designing services for pushed-out learners”

If you have an idea for a new education programme or enterprise – no matter how small or large – this is your chance to test it out and get feedback from people who know this space well. If you have been thinking “Maybe someday I’d like to try this out…” join us and turn ‘someday’ into ‘today’!
