Join us online on the 20th October to discuss the impact of participatory research and citizen science on policy and practice. At this event aims, we will explore what citizen science is, and what opportunities it offers for policymakers, funders and researchers alike.

Key speakers include Tim Spector, who brings insights from the world’s biggest citizen science health project – the ZOE Health Study, which provided essential data in response to the Covic-19 pandemic. We will also be joined by Marc Kuchner, Chief Science Officer at NASA, who will reflect on his organisation’s extensive work using citizen science approaches.

Attendees will learn more about current projects funded by UKRI and the Food Standards Agency (FSA), exploring ways of embedding citizen science across research a range of fields, from the safety of infant formula to young people’s mental health.

And there will be opportunities to explore themes based on your interests in citizen science, and network with others.
