The Young Foundation is looking for a dynamic director of research to lead the delivery of our new research strategy. We are looking for someone who can shape and deliver useful, cutting-edge research – but who has a talent for engaging and inspiring opinion formers and system leaders.
The Young Foundation has a long history of pioneering, radical research programmes, starting life as the Institute for Community Studies over 60 years ago. Now under new leadership, The Young Foundation is seeking to further deepen and extend its research activities in support of community-led action and innovation and integrate research more deeply into some of our practical work, which currently includes education, places, health and housing.
This is a key position, working closely with the CEO and Director of Programmes to deliver our new strategy and support the running of a strong and healthy organisation. The Young Foundation has a highly skilled research team with broad experience and specialisms including ethnographic, qualitative and mixed methods research. The Director of Research will lead and support this team, initiating and overseeing research projects, ensuring the exceptional quality of publications and outputs for our partners and funders.
The Director of Research will initiate, lead and champion all research and insight work within the organisation and be an ambassador of our research work externally.
