CEO, Leeds Community Foundation / Give Bradford

Kate is an experienced CEO, skilled in managing non-profit organisations – especially those that call upon a broad spectrum of differing skills. 

Having focused much of her career in arts and culture and local community activity, Kate is rooted in her home region of Leeds, Bradford and West Yorkshire, where she’s built an up-to-date, modern grant-making portfolio that is driven by a strong commitment to equity and inclusion. 

An experienced non-executive director, Kate, until recently, served as Board member and Diversity Champion for Leeds City Region Local Enterprise Partnership, chairing West Yorkshire Mayor Brabin’s Fair Work Charter Steering Group. 

CEO and Development Director at Leeds Community Foundation since 2015, Kate previously held senior leadership roles at Opera North, Theatre Royal Wakefield, BTL Brussels, Yorkshire Culture, and AXIS. A regular Chair of Bank of England Citizen’s Panels, before joining The Young Foundation, Kate has served as a Trustee at Freedom Festival Arts Trust Hull, The Art House Wakefield, and Leeds Culture Trust.
