Our work supporting youth voice and action continues to build, as we announce The Young Foundation’s collaboration with the Big Change Spark Awards, supporting 18- to 25-year-olds to reimagine the future and create deep-rooted, lasting change.

Through the Spark Awards, Big Change will fund and support up to 10 young leaders or teams of three, aged between 18 and 25, who have pilot-ready projects that address the problems young people face, and have potential to create lasting change.

The selected changemakers will receive a grant of up to £40,000 to develop their project, and a 12-month tailored learning and development programme, delivered by The Young Foundation, worth up to £10,000. This programme will support the delivery of the winning pilot ideas, develop young people’s leadership skills, and supporting their personal growth

In search of young changemakers

The search is now on for young changemakers, with applications to the Spark Awards open. The programme will provide young people with funding and support to to bring their pilot-ready projects to life, as they experience the joy and power of creating social change.

As the Awards launch, Our Director of Innovation and Practice, Daniel Farag, says:

“We are delighted to be continuing to work with Big Change to support the next generation of young innovators and change makers to achieve their potential. We know that young people have ideas and passion that is often overlooked, The Spark Awards provides the funding and support to enable young people to develop their ideas, and support them in their leadership journeys to achieve their potential.

“We are looking forward to working and supporting them through the tailored learning programme we will deliver alongside the Big Change team.”
