Andy Dunbobbin

Social Innovation Outreach Worker, Wales

Andy joined The Young Foundation in January 2016 and is our Social Innovation Outreach Worker in Connah’s Quay.

I have lived, studied and worked in Connah’s Quay my whole life.  I am proud to currently serve its residents as an elected County Councillor.

Through my active involvement within the community, I have a great understanding of the issues people currently face – in many cases as a direct result of decisions they have little or no influence over.

Such decisions could – and have – lead so easily to inequality within our communities, but by being proactive and engaging with people, I believe in establishing relationships built on trust and confidence.  It empowers.

Having successfully organised and attended various types of events (both locally and nationally).  These range from local charity fundraising to corporate stakeholder events.  I always want to develop and challenge myself in how tasks / operations can be delivered.  I strongly belief in continuous improvement and that one model doesn’t always fit all.  With budgetary restraints effecting majority of public services, alternative delivery models play a huge part.  I pride myself on being innovative and dynamic so that I am able to influence and lead others.
