Social innovation & investment

The Young Foundation is a leading centre for social innovation and social investment.

We’ve published ground-breaking research on the theory and practice of innovation, set up many new initiatives and ventures, and supported hundreds of social entrepreneurs and ventures to scale up and deepen their impact.

We welcome ideas for disrupting inequality from civil society, private or public sectors, or from new ventures or within existing organisations. What matters is that ideas to disrupt unequal outcomes are encouraged, spotted early, supported smartly and scaled quickly.

That’s why we support creativity and innovation, rigorously analysing what works and exploring new financing models that deliver sustainability and value for money. We’ve worked on a number of large research projects seeking to better understand social innovation and practical programs to support social entrepreneurs and social ventures. We also incubated and helped spin out the Social Innovation Exchange (SIX), the leading global network of social innovators.
