The Young Foundation’s health and wellbeing portfolio tackles health inequalities by developing innovations and the systems that support them to create and sustain health.
While the NHS is the focus of public policy and public debate, health services are in the main only dealing with the symptoms of inequality, long after problems begin.
Our health programmes this year are using our innovation and venture development expertise to:
• create the Good Diner, a new venture addressing food poverty through the development of an alternative to foodbanks utilising school kitchens.
• promoting health creation systems by building local movements for better health in Adur and Worthing,
• continuing our work designing and evaluating interventions and practices that promote health equality. This includes expanding our Bounce Back resilience programme for children and young people in East London.
