The Young Foundation is one of a number of partners supporting CLES and New Start on an event looking into the regeneration of east London. During January 2013 New Start published a series of articles on this topic. The articles attracted a lot of interest, prompting the decision to hold an event for people to get together to both celebrate the local innovations over the last decade and think about how we can collaborate on some of the challenges and opportunities of the forthcoming decade.

New Start have organised a half-day event to reflect on the changes in east London over the last ten years and help to map the policies and projects that will enable inclusive, sustainable and just communities for its residents. The event will involve the active participation of the audience to share new ideas and help build a community of professional signed up to working together for the benefit of east London.

Three key questions for the day are:

1. What can we do collectively to deliver an Olympic legacy for east London?

2. How can we collaborate better with each other going forward?

3. What things do we need to do differently now, given austerity and other challenges?

Join the Young Foundation at this event to plan the next ten years of change in east London.
