Join us to hear stories of inequality, aspiration and action in Leeds. Come together to build a fairer future for the city.
Amplify Leeds is a growing collection of people who are taking action to make Leeds a fairer place. Building on the shared strengths in communities across the city people are challenging the deep-rooted inequalities which exist. By listening to people’s stories, amplifying voices which don’t usually get heard, and supporting innovative ideas and approaches towards change, we can collectively create a fairer place for everyone to live and a new story for the future.
A year ago we started listening to people from all walks of life in Leeds, learning about the deeply held values that exist in communities and hearing people’s stories of hope and transformation. We also met amazing projects, initiatives and campaigns that are creating a more just and equal place for everyone to live, and began to build a network of support to help them to develop and grow.
We, and our partners in Leeds City Council and the Joseph Rowntree Foundation would love you to join us on the 22nd March at Open Source Arts to contribute your stories and ideas, and to hear Leeds people tell their own stories of inequality, aspiration and extraordinary action.
Doors will open at 5pm for food and a chance to explore the findings from our research. The story telling will begin at 6pm.
